Prof. Ferdous Ahmed Barbhuiya
Professor
Dr. Ferdous Ahmed Barbhuiya is a Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati, in the department of Computer Science & Engineering. He is also the Dean of Administration at IIIT Guwahati. He has received his BE from Jorhat Engineering College under Dibrugarh University followed by MTech. as well as PhD. degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, all in Computer Science and Engineering. Prior to PhD, he has worked as a Lead Engineer in GlobalLogic, a Software Product Engineering Company. He has also worked as a Scientific officer at IIT Guwahati from 2002 to 2007. He has implemented several research projects funded by Govt. as well as Corporate agencies. Beyond academics and research, he is also active in consulting services for Industry and Govt. departments including law enforcement agencies.

I am currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. I have joined IIIT G in July 2014. I have completed my PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Patna in March 2014. Previously, I was associated with Jaypee University and Syntel Inc.
